1887/8 Yorkshire CCC England Bobby Peel test cricketer trade card ONLY 1 KNOWN in the worldThis is about the same size as a Baines cricket card but it's rarer than most Baines cards because, though some Baines cards are similarly rare most Baines cards may have as many as 2 or 3 exemplars known globally, but this is the only 1 known of this particular card. No other card specialist or cricket cards collector in the last 30 years has seen this before, or the series it came from. It's from a small series of British-made die-cut cards, each shaped and coloured after wonderful designs. This seller inherited a dozen of them, each card a different player. They date from 1887-88 because of the presence of the Reverend Napier whose likeness was found on one of the cards. Most of the card have since sold, for as much as over Sterling £200+ each. Those sales were in recent months on Ebay. Ever fewer remain. This is one of the last 5 of the cards available; each a different player. Once they are gone they will be gone for good. So, there was one of each; twelve.
