A 1910s Cobblers WW1-officer legend, the Nomads captain and NTFC player Harold Redhead, with fellow Cobbler, L.C. Hawtin (standing back row left) are among this team of 1910-11 Northamptonshire "Nomads", on a postcard printed by Greenway Photographers of Daventry Northampton & Bedford. All players are named. It was posted in 1911. It was possibly sent by one of the players shown because the penned message asks the recipient to prepare herself for a 'fright' when she looks at the image, and it's signed by either a "JB" or FB". The latter could be one and the same: F Blackley, in the team.PLAYERS from top left, standing: L.C. Hawtin, R.A. Haywood, F.T.P Day, R.F: Percival, F.Blackley. Sitting from left: G.H. Lawton, W. Hall (on the floor), E.G. Hardwick, H.A. Redhead (Captain), E.V. Mann, W.H. Andrews, A.Oates. MAYBE MORE OF THESE NAMES WENT ON TO FAME. Is it Aidy Mann's grandfather: E.V. Mann?FOR MORE on HAROLD REDHEAD see:https://www.ntfc.co.uk/news/2018/august/harold-readhead/
