1950's... mid 1950's? This collection may have been issued for WC54 yet it may have come earlier - or later! Note: the USSR team is included yet the USSR CCCP team did not play WC footy until 1958! However, CCCP-USSR had won the 1956 Olympics - yet that's too late, otherwise Netto and legendary Ivanov would be included in their squad and they are not. The squad in this series must date it to AFTER 1952 but this "Wereld Voetbal" transfers series is a strange one. Kopa is included. He only played competitive soccer for France during the 1954 World Cup, So, it canott be 1950, it won't be 1951, or 1952, Kopa was unknown outside France in 1953... must be 1954.Issued in the Netherlands and designed to confuse future collectors.The rarest Alf Ramsey 'card' on the market? Probably! It should be from earlier than 1954 due to his career but this may have been issued for WC54 presuming he'd be there. It's by Bolletje a Dutch rusks manufacturer! "Wereld Voetbal" was the series name. It's a decal transfer rather than a card which makes it all the rarer. Sold as seen
