Who remembers the American Express advert with Karl Malden that showed his real name Mladen Sekulovich. Well this yearbook from 1931 shows him acting in George Bernard Shaw's Arms and the Man under his real name. He played the lead role of Captain Bluntschli. A year later he became Karl Malden so it is very rare to find him credited as Sekulovich. Plus he was very active in school, being the class president and a star on the basketball team. A rare historical piece that is closing in on being almost 100 years old. Yearbook is in decent condition and shows inscriptions throughout the book to a girl named Sylvia. Some light soiling to the covers and the bottom section of the spine (about two inches) is becoming separated.
